Lake Winnebago

A while back Jeff and I went exploring around Wisconsin. We ended up going hiking at High Cliff State Park, which is right on Lake Winnebago. It was super pretty and the trail that we walk on was right on the lake.

It started out as a really nice day and hiking was a great idea

An old lime kiln used to be here so they gave some info on it

I'm thinking this would be creepy at night time

About the biggest creek we came across :)

For some reason these woods remind me of Twilight!

You can see the lake right through the trees
Jeff climbed down closer to the lake
When it was time to make our circle around we had to go up all these steps!

But at the top of the steps there was this really pretty rock wall

Jeff wanted to climb the rocks, but there were people in the way and they weren't moving!!
Look at all the fallen trees
At the beginning and at the end of the trail you had to walk by these rock walls. There were people there trying to climb them and also acting like they were shooting each other like they were forts haha
Some good waves for the day, it was getting windier all day and actually started raining as soon as we left so that was close!

We had a great time that day and would definitely recommend for others to go and explore. There were many more hiking and biking and even horse riding trails that we didn't go on. Maybe we will have time to go back sometime and check them out.
