Regatta Restaurant

Jeff and I tried this really nice restaurant on the river. Once it's nice out it will be even better because you can eat outside and enjoy the view.

They had really good food! It was a little pricey but not enough to scare us away! You get a loaf of bread before your meal which was AMAZING and Jeff and I both loved our meals.
Jeff got the Cheese Tortellini
I got the Bruschetta Grilled Chicken YUM!
View of the river from our seat
We would definitely recommend this restaurant and we would like to take guests here when they come to visit!

Toms Drive-In

After church last sunday we tried a new place to eat. It is my new favorite fast food restaurant! It is so cool inside. The booths are made from the tilt-a-whirl carts.

I got the chicken sandwich and some mozzarella sticks. They were super good!

Jeff had a cheeseburger and fries, and he loved them!

After lunch we had to try their ice cream! I got a swirl ice cream in a waffle cone. Jeff got a chocolate milk shake.

We will definitely go back to this place. It is in Appleton which is good and bad. Good because it takes us a little to get there so we won't eat it all the time and bad because its farther away we don't get to have it all the time.

Mackinaws

Jeff and I tried another new restaurant! It is called Mackinaws and it was a pretty cool place!

We have to try EVERYONE'S cheese curds!

I got pulled pork...forgot to take a pic before I ate it haha

Jeff got chicken parmesan.

It had a pretty cool theme and the food was good. Granted neither Jeff or I got a steak which I feel is their specialty but I definitely think we will be back!

Fajita Republic

Jeff and I tried a new mexican restaurant. Since we have moved we haven't found one that we love yet. This place was called Fajita Republic. I ordered the chicken fajita and Jeff ordered their chicken tacos. It was pretty good but there were some major things that we didn't like.

The first thing I didn't like was that their salsa was chunky. I like salsa that is more smooth. The chips were pretty good and we order some cheese dip that made up for the bad salsa.

The second thing I wasn't a big fan of was that my chicken fajita was saucy. Usually chicken fajitas are only seasoned and this has some kind of sauce on it. It wasn't bad but not my favorite. I also loved the peppers that it came with. A lot of places put like 3 pieces of pepper in it and lots of onions but this had quite a bit of pepper and I loved it!  Thirdly, the rice had vegetables in it which is probably good for you but it was more like a fried rice then a mexican rice.

Jeff seemed to like his meal. The only thing that he wasn't a fan of was that it had shredded chicken in his tacos. He likes more fajita style chicken the shredded.

Overall I feel that Jeff and I would go back but probably only if we were meeting people there. We have found other mexican restaurants that we like better.

Cinnamon Crumb Muffins

I made some delicious Cinnamon Crumb Cake/Muffins.

Ingredients:
Box of Krusteaz Cinnamon Crumb Cake
2/3 Cup of Water
1 egg
Paper Cupcake Holders

Mix bag of cake mix, water, and egg in medium bowl.  In separate bowl put in cinnamon mix. In a cake pan or muffin pan put in half the batter. Then put 1 teaspoon of cinnamon mix on in-between. Top off with the rest of batter and sprinkle rest of cinnamon on top. Cook for 23-25 mins!  Makes one cake or 12 muffins. Yum!

I had these super cute paper muffin holders.

They are amazing! I love muffins, they are my favorite food! I also have some super cute mini muffin paper holders but I don't have a mini muffin pan yet. I will have to get one!

Creamy Italian Pasta

Most of you have seen that sometimes I get in a cooking spree and sometimes I hate cooking. So Jeff was wanting pasta and I didn't want to try to hard so I bought Betty Crocker's Suddenly Pasta Salad Creamy Italian . WOW this was good! It would be a good side dish too but it has WAY too many calories and fat alone so eating it with something else would be too much. :)

Ingrediants
Box of Betty Crocker's Suddenly Pasta Salad Creamy Italian
1/2 cup Mayo ( I like light or FF)

Boil pasta until tender. In a medium bowl mix season packet and mayo. Mix all together and Wala you have some delicious pasta! You can serve it warm or cold. Jeff enjoyed it warm because it seemed more gourmet :)

I love my cute tiny bowl. They help me with portion sizing and they are just so darn CUTE! My mom got them for me from Crate & Barrel and I have a Yellow, Blue and Red.

I hope you enjoy it!

Taco Night

Jeff and I made taco's last night.  I am not a big fan of at home tacos but Jeff is so I found something that makes them better!

Double Decker Tacos!
Double Decker Taco's are my favorite.  When I go to Taco Bell my older brother Brandon introduced me to getting them without the beans and adding nacho cheese instead.  So for them to have a box of all the ingredients I need to make them was awesome!

I also over-came the fear of cooking hamburger.  I was super hungry and Jeff was napping so I decided to try to cook it. Jeff usually cooks all meat, but now that I am the wife I had to get over the fear.  I don't like to touch it so I got it in the pan with utensils and then I just cooked it extra long :) I like all my meat extra well done so I just made sure to cook it until I felt comfortable.

Final product

The tacos were so good!  I will for sure be making these everytime Jeff wants tacos.  Now that I have had these delicious tacos I will not be able to go back to regular tacos and I don't have to worry about what my Taco Bell tacos are made of because I can make my own!

Berry Sherbet

I love my ice cream bowls!  Jeff use to serve us in plastic bowls and it wasn't fun so I got these super cute bowls from Crate & Barrel so it made ice cream more exciting to eat.  I have four of them (yellow, green, blue, pink)  Also it helps Jeff have portion control when serving ice cream.   He loves a ton of ice cream so whenever he would serve me he would give me a HUGE amount too, and I just like a little.  So first tip of portion control is use smaller plates and bowls, and if they are cute you want to use them even more!
