Why Wasn't I Taught This!

So lately I have been trying to track my ovulation. I have very irregular periods and I know here in the near future Jeff and I want to have a baby! I have found out it is a lot harder to get pregnant than you are taught in school. In school they say you have sex once and you are pregnant! It doesn't quite work that way. You only have like 3 days to get pregnant and with irregular ovulation (periods) it is even harder.

I have read a lot the last couple days on what to do and there is 3 main things you have to track to help you figure out when you are ovulating...

1) Basal Body Temperature
2) Cervical Mucus
3) Cervical Postion

I have been tracking all of these on www.fertilityfriend.com it is free and easy to use!

I have realized why I have irregular periods is that I am not ovulating. If you don't ovulate then you don't have a period, they go hand in hand. I have read about many stories of overweight women who have irregular periods and its because of their weight! Sooo I have figured out that it is better for me and my future babies to get healthy and lose some weight as soon as possible! I have been working really hard the last couple days to do better and I am but, not as good as I want to be. I am taking BABY steps and trying to be better everyday! Jeff has even been doing his part to help.

Many women have said as soon as they started losing weight there periods became regular again! I can't wait! Once you know when you ovulate each month its pretty easy to get pregnant. The reason why most women have trouble getting pregnant is they don't know when they ovulate. I am doing my research and I feel once I lose a couple pounds I will be pregnant in no time!

I also feel that if I am working this hard to get pregnant I will enjoy it more and appreciate it more. Good luck to anyone else that wants to have babies!
